What We Do

Since 1989, East Valley Wildlife has been rescuing and rehabbing certain bird and small mammal species in the East Valley of Arizona. We rescue, rehabilitate and release birds and small mammals back to their native environment. We also have an active waterfowl rescue component.  Often "pet" ducks are "dumped" onto local area lakes and waterways. Without human intervention, these domesticated birds would likely die. We have volunteers who specialize in domesticated waterfowl rescue, rehab and placement. Follow our blog by logging onto www.eastvalleywildlife.org, click on our Bird Tracks blog and read about our recent rescues!

We are a registered not for profit organization.  Our volunteers work to rescue and rehab the birds and small mammals that are injured or orphaned.  In some cases we will refer a caller to another organization, for example, if there is not a rehabber available or if the species is a protected species that requires special care.

We do not have a central facility and callers must bring the bird to one of our volunteers located throughout the East Valley. Our volunteers all work from their homes.
