History of East Valley Wildlife

Since 1989 East Valley Wildlife has been helping people in the East Valley of Arizona to rescue birds and small mammals. It started with just two people and a vision to create an all-volunteer organization to help rescue, rehab and release local wildlife and to provide education about the preservation of our native species of songbirds and small mammals.

EVW became a registered not for profit organization and all of our volunteers work from their homes.  We do not have a central facility, but rather we have an extended team of dedicated individuals throughout the valley who do their best to rescue and rehab certain species.

You can visit our website at www.eastvalleywildlife.org to help you identify a bird species.

We also have an ongoing educational program to train volunteers.

We support our volunteers with donated supplies and training and meetings.

"Lisa's Creatures" is our new interactive program for children to help them learn a respect for all kinds of wildlife. The classes are presented at the Gilbert, Arizona recreation department.
